MHC Field Meet 2022

Announcing the Michigan Hawking Club 2022 Winter Field Meet will take place on February 5th & 6th at the Waterloo State Recreation Area. The format of the event is taking on a slightly different change from years past. With additional facilities at the campground, we can now host a 2 day event that supports a multitude of hunting venues as well as education.


Saturday February 5th 2022 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Sunday February 6th 2022 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm


Registration is $10.00 for Club Members, $20.00 for non-members. Registration is highly recommended and can completed via this link on the website.

Online Auction and Auction Items:
The auction will take place online this year after its great success last year. We will be holding the event online AFTER the field meet. This creates a wider audience to be able to bid and contribute to the auction items. If you have items that you would like to donate to the club for the auction, be sure to bring them to the field meet and they will get included in the auction.

Food and Amenities:
As a result of the auction being online, our meal format will also change. Breakfast will be coffee and donuts in the AM with lunch being a "Dish to pass" which usually features warm crock-pot dishes and cool salads. Evening meals will be on your own.


Hunting Parties:
Hunting Parties will be arranged in the morning and head out from the Discovery Center around 10:00 am. Afternoon hunts will be arranged after lunch and head out for the afternoon between 1:00pm and 2:00pm. If you are unfamiliar with hunting and falconry, be sure to dress for the weather and prepare for a good hiking experience that will be second to none.
